https://afcat.cdac.inAFCAT is the Indian Air Force's entrance exam - held twice a year - for a Group A Gazetted Officer commission in the Flying, Technical, or Ground Duty (Non-Technical) branches. Flying Branch applicants need Physics & Maths at 10+2 alongside a bachelor's degree; Technical Branch needs a 4-year engineering degree; Ground Duty (Non-Technical) needs a 3-year bachelor's degree - all with a minimum 60% aggregate.

Written exam qualifiers (plus a separate Engineering Knowledge Test for Technical Branch applicants) go through the 5-day AFSB (Air Force Selection Board) - psychological tests, group tasks, and interview - followed by a medical exam. Final merit combines written score with AFSB assessment; only AFSB-recommended, medically-fit candidates are commissioned.
