These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of exams.fyi (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should review these terms with you.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using exams.fyi, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. What the Service is

exams.fyi aggregates and structures publicly available information about exams relevant to Indian students - dates, eligibility criteria, and conducting bodies - and matches it against a user's profile to help identify exams they may be eligible for. It is an informational and discovery tool, not an official source of record.

3. Accuracy disclaimer - please read

Exam dates, eligibility criteria, fees, and application windows can change at any time, often with little notice, at the sole discretion of the conducting body. While we work to keep information current and sourced from official notifications, exams.fyi does not guarantee that any date, eligibility rule, or other detail shown on this Service is complete, current, or error-free.

The official notification published by the relevant exam-conducting body is always the final authority. Before making any decision - applying, paying a fee, planning travel for an exam, or relying on an eligibility determination - you must verify the details directly on the official website of the conducting body. exams.fyi is not liable for any loss, missed deadline, missed opportunity, or other harm arising from reliance on information shown on this Service without such independent verification.

4. Personalization is a guide, not a guarantee

Our eligibility-matching feature is a guide based on the profile information you provide and the eligibility rules we have structured from official sources. It does not constitute an official eligibility determination, legal advice, or a guarantee of admission or selection. Only the conducting body can confirm your eligibility for a given exam.

5. Trademarks and no affiliation

Exam names, acronyms, and logos referenced on exams.fyi - including but not limited to UPSC, NTA, JEE, NEET, CUET, CLAT, BITSAT, and similar - are the trademarks or registered marks of their respective conducting bodies and organizations. We reference them solely for nominative, informational purposes: to identify which exam a piece of information relates to.

exams.fyi is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any exam- conducting body, government agency, or educational institution named or depicted on this Service, unless explicitly stated otherwise. No such affiliation should be inferred from the use of an exam's name or logo.

Where we display an official logo or emblem, it is used strictly for identification under nominative fair use, is not modified to imply endorsement, and will be removed promptly at the request of the rights holder. Any such usage is vetted internally against the relevant organization's own brand guidelines before it ships.

6. Our intellectual property

The structure, design, compiled data, and original content of exams.fyi (excluding third-party trademarks and factual exam data sourced from official notifications) are owned by exams.fyi. You may not copy, scrape, or redistribute substantial portions of the Service without permission.

7. Accounts and eligibility to use the Service

The Service is designed to be usable by students of any age, including those under 18. If you are under 18, use of features that involve creating a profile or account requires consent from a parent or legal guardian, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.

8. Acceptable use

Do not use automated means to scrape or bulk-extract data from the Service without permission.
Do not misrepresent exams.fyi as an official source or as affiliated with any exam-conducting body.
Do not attempt to interfere with the security or normal operation of the Service.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, exams.fyi and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages - including a missed exam deadline, missed opportunity, or decision made in reliance on information provided through the Service. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from your use of the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for any user who violates these terms. You may stop using the Service, or request deletion of your account and data, at any time.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date on this page.
