CMAT is NTA's own MBA/PGDM entrance exam - a lower-fee, broader-reach alternative to CAT/XAT accepted by AICTE-approved management institutes across India (notably the Government-run JBIMS and SIMSREE in Mumbai, among many others).

Each CMAT-accepting institute runs its own further shortlisting (Group Discussion and/or Personal Interview) combining CMAT percentile with academics - there's no single shared counselling round the way JoSAA works for engineering.
