https://natboard.edu.inGPAT is the national entrance exam for M.Pharm admission, accepted by 800+ AICTE-approved colleges offering roughly 24,000+ M.Pharm seats. NBEMS (National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences) conducts it as a computer-based test; a qualifying GPAT score also makes a candidate eligible for AICTE's PG scholarship (₹12,400/month) during M.Pharm, similar to how GATE unlocks the equivalent scholarship for M.Tech.

Computer-based test (CBT)
MCQs covering Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, and allied subjects from the B.Pharm curriculum. Exact question count/marking scheme not independently confirmed for this cycle.
Participating institutes run their own counselling using the GPAT score/percentile - no single shared national counselling process (unlike NEET PG or GATE-CCMT).

Clearing this qualifies you for M.Pharm admission counselling - it isn't a guarantee of a seat at any specific college, which depends on rank.
Registration for GPAT 2027 has not opened yet. It is expected around Dec 2026. That date is provisional and will be updated when the official notification is out.
The exam date for GPAT 2027 has not been announced. It is provisionally expected around Mar 2027, based on previous years.
You need a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or equivalent, or be in your final year - no minimum percentage or age limit. The full rules, including age and category relaxations, are in the Eligibility section above.
