PCM group (engineering): 150 questions. PCB group (pharmacy): 200 questions. No negative marking either way - a real difference from JEE Main/NEET.
Maharashtra's own CAP (Centralized Admission Process) counselling allots engineering/pharmacy seats based on MHT CET percentile, category, and domicile - separate from JoSAA/CSAB, and Maharashtra-domicile candidates get priority for the large majority of state-quota seats.

The application fee for MHT CET 2026 is ₹1300 for General candidates and ₹1000 for SC/ST/reserved candidates. Payment charges and some categories can differ, so check the notification on the official website (https://cetcell.mahacet.org).
