About MHT CET

MHT CET is Maharashtra's own state-level entrance exam for engineering, pharmacy, and agriculture admissions at colleges across the state - the primary route for Maharashtra-domicile students, alongside JEE Main for the centrally-funded institutes. Run in two sessions like JEE Main; your better score across both counts.

PCM group (engineering): 150 questions. PCB group (pharmacy): 200 questions. No negative marking either way - a real difference from JEE Main/NEET.

Selection process

Maharashtra's own CAP (Centralized Admission Process) counselling allots engineering/pharmacy seats based on MHT CET percentile, category, and domicile - separate from JoSAA/CSAB, and Maharashtra-domicile candidates get priority for the large majority of state-quota seats.
