Run in two stages (Prelims, then Mains), it's NID's own test, not shared with UCEED or NATA.

Two stages: Prelims (a qualifying filter only - as of the 2026 cycle, the Prelims score itself carries zero weight in the final merit list) and Mains (studio test + interview, which determines the entire rank). Neither stage has negative marking.
Only candidates who clear the Prelims cutoff advance to Mains - a full-day studio test plus a personal interview - which alone determines the final merit rank.
