https://natboard.edu.inNEET PG is the single entrance exam for admission to nearly all MD/MS/PG Diploma medical seats in India - government and private colleges alike - for MBBS graduates who have completed their compulsory rotating internship. Conducted once a year by NBEMS (National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences).
Mode
Computer-based test (CBT)
Duration
3.5 hours, single session
Questions
200
Marking scheme
+4 correct / -1 incorrect
NEET PG score alone does not allot a seat - admission happens through separate counselling rounds: All India Quota (15% of government seats, via the Medical Counselling Committee) and State Quota (the remaining 85%, plus all private-college and deemed-university seats, via each state's own counselling authority), both based on NEET PG rank and category.
The minimum score needed to qualify, by category, over the last 2 years.
| Category | Qualifying percentile | 2025 marks | 2024 marks |
|---|---|---|---|
| General / EWS | 50th | 276/800 | 291/800 |
| OBC-NCL / SC / ST | 40th | 235/800 | 257/800 |
Same rule as NEET UG: the percentile is fixed, the marks move each year. Clearing this qualifies you for NEET PG counselling (MD/MS/PG diploma) - it isn't a guarantee of a seat, which depends on rank.
