Merit lists are prepared All-India and state-wise from your NEET score. Seats are allotted through separate counselling rounds - 15% All India Quota (central) and 85% State Quota - plus separate counselling for private/deemed medical colleges.
The minimum score needed to qualify, by category, over the last 3 years.
| Category | Qualifying percentile | 2026 marks | 2025 marks | 2024 marks |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| General / EWS | 50th | 213/720 | 144/720 | 162/720 |
| OBC-NCL / SC / ST | 40th | 177/720 | 113/720 | 127/720 |
The percentile is fixed by rule; the marks it takes to reach it move each year with paper difficulty. Clearing this cutoff qualifies you for counselling - it doesn't guarantee a seat at any specific college, which depends on rank.
