https://www.gmac.com/nmatNMAT is a computer-adaptive MBA entrance exam accepted by around 30 B-schools in India (including NMIMS, VIT, ICFAI, and Alliance University), conducted by GMAC - the same organization behind the GMAT. Its standout feature is candidate flexibility: within the exam window, a candidate can choose their own test date/time/city, retake the exam up to 3 times, and choose the order of its three sections - unusual for an Indian entrance exam.

Computer-adaptive test (CAT-style adaptive, not to be confused with the separate CAT exam)
Sections
Each section has its own fixed time limit; unused time cannot be transferred between sections. Best score across up to 3 attempts counts.
Each participating B-school runs its own shortlisting and Written Ability Test/Group Discussion/Personal Interview process using the NMAT score - no single shared national counselling process.
