https://ctet.nic.inCTET is CBSE's twice-yearly qualifying test for teaching eligibility in Classes 1-8 at central government schools (KVS, NVS) and is also accepted by many states/private schools in place of their own TET. Paper I qualifies for Classes 1-5 (Primary); Paper II qualifies for Classes 6-8 (Elementary) - candidates can take either or both in one sitting.

CTET is a qualifying test only, not a merit-ranked selection exam - there's no fixed pass percentage cutoff for general candidates beyond CBSE's notified minimum (typically 60%; relaxed for reserved categories). Passing gives a CTET certificate (valid for a set number of years) required to apply for teaching posts, each recruited separately by the hiring school/authority.

This is CBSE's fixed minimum qualifying percentage - it doesn't change year to year, unlike NEET/JEE. Passing gives you a lifelong certificate, not a teaching job - each hiring authority recruits separately.
